Today the Jewish Herald Voice endorsed Houston Vice Mayor Pro Tem Sue Lovell in her campaign for re-election to Houston City Council At-Large Position 2.
“I am honored to have the continued support of the Jewish Herald Voice – a great community institution in our great city,” said Lovell. “We’re facing challenging times, and I appreciate having a partner in the ongoing work of improving Houston.”
Sue Lovell is completing her second term as Houston’s City Council Member At-Large, Position 2. She also serves as Vice Mayor Pro Tem – a position to which her colleagues on the City Council elected her unanimously – and chairs the Council’s Transportation, Infrastructure, and Aviation Committee and Quality of Life Committee. Lovell worked closely with Mayor Bill White to pass the city’s budget that preserved vital services without raising taxes and added more police officers to the force.
