Thousands expected to participate from across the country and around the world.
The Total Energy USA conference and exposition, an innovative collaboration bringing together multiple energy sectors and diverse stakeholders in a single event, is setting the stage for a unique type of conference that assembles all energy technologies for a comprehensive look at the intersections affecting business decisions. The conference, now in its second year, will be held Nov. 19-21, 2013, at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, Houston, TX 77010, and covers not only traditional fuels, like oil and gas, but renewables and nuclear as well as energy use and efficiency. Last year’s inaugural conference earned a top five energy event ranking due to its “all-of-the-above” approach.
According to Patrick Serfass, Total Energy USA Chief Content Officer, the conference and exposition intermingles the present with the future. “When you’re trying to create development in the energy space, it’s important to have lots of different people talking to each other. So to have today’s energy leaders talking to tomorrow’s energy leaders is a critical thing that we are able to create with Total Energy USA,” he said.
“Total Energy provides a unique forum for consumers and providers to have conversations and create solutions,” said Greg Ortale, President, Greater Houston Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. “There is no place better than Houston, the energy capital of the world, to have that discussion.”
In addition to a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions and workshops, the three-day event includes a full slate of activities designed to attract audiences from varying age groups, industry affiliations and knowledge bases.

New to this year’s event is a dedicated hiring event where job seekers will receive access to energy industry-specific recruiters and hiring managers looking to find the best talent within the Energy sector. The hiring event will take place during expo hours in a dedicated section of the exhibit hall on November 19 and 20.
2013 Chairman’s Innovation Award
The Chairman’s Innovation Award is the industry platform to acknowledge the most innovative energy-related products, services, or business models that will make a large impact on energy business. This year, the award seeks projects that impact multiple sectors—fossil, renewables, nuclear, use and seven energy services. Judges will look for originality, practicality, and overall impact across the energy industry.
