Big Mac Challenge Doubles Your Donation to SNAP Clinic Expansion!
The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program has received an exciting fundraising boost in the form of the Big Mac Challenge Grant which provides funds for the construction of a new state-of-the-art surgery and wellness clinic. Your donation made as a part of the Big Mac Challenge will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 thanks to a very generous grant put forth by the “parents” of Big Mac. (Who is Big Mac? See the photo below.) Community support is vital for the new clinic to succeed. Every donation will help prevent more homeless animals from ending up in shelters or on the street.
Who is Big Mac?
Big Mac is one big happy SNAP client! His “parents” are sponsoring the Big Mac Challenge Grant in his honor.
This new facility will have four surgery tables, five exams rooms, a special feral cat area, and an expanded waiting room. This clinic will allow SNAP to significantly increase the number of animals served in a quality environment as well as allow for community outreach programs and services.
SNAP currently sterilizes over 10,000 dogs and cats a year at the current Houston surgery clinic. Your donation will allow SNAP to double this number to 20,000 annually!
Construction on the new clinic has already begun. It will be at 1801 Durham Dr. (adjacent to our existing wellness clinic). The new clinic is scheduled to open in January 2010. This challenge makes October the month to make your donations go further!
Deadline to participate in the challenge grant is Oct. 31, 2009. All donors giving $100 or more will be listed on the Big Mac Challenge Grant plaque to be displayed in the new clinic. DONATE NOW, and help make a difference for the animals.
