SOUPer Houston Organizes SECOND Crowdfunding Dinner for the Community!

A group of Houstonians have come together to launch SOUPer Houston, a microgranting dinner celebrating and supporting creative projects in Houston. Inspired by Detroit

SOUP, our goal is to promote community-based development through crowdfunding, creativity, collaboration, trust and fun.

“We raised over $250 for our last winner. Let’s double that!  This is a community based, live crowd-funding event. It is only $5 to attend, and you can expect to meet new people that are also involved in our Community.”

WHAT:

- For a donation of $5 attendees receive soup, and a vote and

hear from four presentations ranging from art, urban agriculture, social

justice, social entrepreneurs, education, technology and more.

- The presenter with the most votes will receive all the money collected that

night to go forward with their projects.

- We encourage people to get names and contacts of presenters and to share their

own ideas.

- Winners come back to a future SOUP dinner to report their project’s progress.

- We will also have acoustic music from local musicians!

WHERE:  JoMar Visions, 5247-5249 Langfield Rd, Houston, Texas 77040

WHEN: Thursday September 24. Event starts at 6 pm, Winner is chosen at 8:30 pm
