Actress and author, Robin Givens, touches down in the Bayou City for “Hollywood To Houston: Bringing The Business of Entertainment To The Bayou City”, Sunday, May 16th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Houston’s historic and newly renovated Brennan’s Of Houston.
The luncheon, hosted by Enuf Said Productions and moderated by Houston actress and attorney Jalene Mack, will consist of a panel discussion on acting, films, plays, production, site locations and the Houston Film Commission and is designed to promote Houston as a location city of choice for Hollywood.
“Houston is the business jewel of the south and a hotbed for entertainment right now” said Christine Lee-Jones, founder and CEO of Enuf Said Productions. “We want to make sure that the business of Hollywood is coming our way. More importantly, Hollywood understands what cities such as Vancouver and New Orleans, who are often selected for movie and television locations, have to offer. We want that same understanding for Houston.”
Given’s, who got her start acting in Head of the Class, has been seen in numerous movies including Boomerang, Head of Stateand A Rage in Harlem. She’s been a featured actress in The Game in 2008, where she appeared as herself as well as Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Givens has been in several plays including The Vagina Monologues, Chicago and Men, Money and Golddiggers. In 2007, Givens completed her autobiography titled Grace Will Lead Me Home
