Please join Pierpont Communications, Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and other special guests as we discuss the 2010 Census and its implications for Harris County.
The 2010 Census is a count of the American population taken every 10 years. The 10-question Census form arrives in mailboxes in March and the statistics generated provide critical data for the allocation of funds. For Harris County, Census data helps determine funding allocations for education, transportation, vital social services, healthcare, job training and more. It also determines Harris County’s political representation.
