The Greater Houston Partnership will host a discussion featuring Dr. Patrick Moore, a renowned expert on nuclear energy and co-founder and former leader of environmental stalwart Greenpeace. The Partnership’s Energy Collaborative and Green Building committees will facilitate the discussion with Moore to underscore the region’s diverse energy portfolio. The event is open to Members only of the Partnership, the primary advocate for the 10-county Houston business community.
“As the U.S. grapples with energy policy, the economic downturn and how to combat climate change, we’re inviting our Members to join us for an invaluable opportunity to better understand the role nuclear power can play in providing a solution to issues facing Texas and the country,” said Partnership President & CEO Jeff Moseley.
Moore is a co-chair of the Clean and Safe Energy Coalition (CASEnergy), a large grassroots organization that unites unlikely allies across the business, environmental, academic, consumer and labor community to support nuclear energy.
