Mayor Parker First to Announce Participation in Comcast Local Media Initiative, Houston’s Voice to Highlight All Things Houston Through Video

What: News conference to announce launch of Houston’s Voice, an online and OnDemand video service dedicated exclusively to locally produced content for the enrichment of all who live, work or play in Houston

Notes: Houston’s Voice is part of Comcast’s Project Open Voice (POV) initiative, a six-market, online and OnDemand test program to improve the reach and broaden the diversity of local programming, public, educational and governmental (PEG) media and content from community-based organizations. Houstonwill be the first of the six Comcast selected POV pilot cities to announce the launch of its beta website.
