Who: Annunciation Orthodox School (AOS) fourth graders, University of St. Thomas Representatives, BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions Representative

What: Annunciation Orthodox School’s (AOS) fourth graders will present a $628 check to BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions representing the proceeds from their May 6 Lemonade Day event.

When: Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Where: In front of Annunciation Orthodox School: 3600 Yoakum Boulevard, Houston, TX 77006

Lemonade Day was meant not only to teach students about entrepreneurship, but also about the importance of giving back to the community. With this in mind, the fourth graders chose BARC as the organization to whom they want to donate their lemonade sales proceeds. The class chose BARC from a list of more than 20 possible nonprofits because they love their pets and want to help animals in need.
BARC will use the donation to provide spay and neuter procedures to residents in high-risk Houston communities.
