J. Xavier Writes Song for Senator Barack Obama

Justin Xavier Harris, aka J. Xavier born April 29, 1992 is an American Rap artist—songwriter, dancer, actor, TV host, music video director and youth ambassador for HIV/AIDS Awareness. J. Xavier was headed for stardom when he was recognized throughout the world as the winner of “America’s Most Talented Kid Show” in 2004.
On February 18, 2004 the Mayor of Houston presented the young phenomenon with a proclamation making that day, J. Xavier Day. He has won three major Hip Hop Awards in the inspirational category, Song of the Year in 2003, Best Stage Performer of the Year in 2004 and Rap Artist of the Year in 2005. His writing skills have also allowed him to pen songs for the following superstars, Steve Francis, Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming. In working with the Houston Rockets, he’s performed for several games and has a translated Mandarin Chinese version for the song “Yao Ming Wants The Dunk” which he is scheduled to perform at the Summer Olympics 2008 in Beijing, China.

Active in the community, J. Xavier is a global youth HIV/AIDS ambassador and has partnered with the organization FAWN (Fighting Aids with Nutrition), which provides vitamin supplements to adults and children that are infected in Botswana, Africa. J. Xavier also has some serious acting skills. He played the role of “Randy” in the MTV film “My Super Sweet 16, The Movie” and is featured in the soon to be released film “A Good Man Is Hard To Find” starring Deborah Cox and Mary,Mary. His first national debut album “Young Prince of tha South” was released by Mathew Knowles of MusicWorld Music/NooDay Entertainment, which promotions of it landed him on Good Morning America, Oprah Winfrey’s Sirius Satellite Radio with Host Gayle King. The first single “I Love My Music” remained on BET’s Next for several months and allowed J. to receive national exposure with R&B sensation Chris Brown on two successful tours and to date has performed over 350 shows.

J. Xavier has previously worked with the National Black Caucus as a youth spokesperson helping to educate youth about politics and the voting process and has recently penned a song for Senator Barack Obama titled “Go Tell Yo Mama, Vote For Obama”.
