HOUSTON NETS PRESTIGIOUS WORLD BANK GROUP POST TO OPEN ACCESS TO BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR REGION


The Greater Houston Partnership will announce that Houston has been selected as the site of a prestigious World Bank Group post that will provide area businesses with significant international funding opportunities for emerging markets and developing nations. Houston is only the third U.S. city – behind Chicago and Seattle — to be chosen to host a World Bank Group Public Sector Liaison Officer (PSLO). The Houston business community will have access annually to approximately $25 billion in funding that is awarded through more than 40,000 World Bank Group contracts.
