GREATER HOUSTON PARTNERSHIP UNVEILS REDESIGNED MEMBERS’ ONLY WEBSITE

Doing business in Houston just got a little easier.

The Greater Houston Partnership has launched its redesigned Members Only website (www.houston.org), which includes many brand new features designed to facilitate involvement and participation for its members – as well as to help them do more business.

“The new website is truly a more interactive, virtual hub for our members,” said Jeff Moseley, GHP President and CEO. “It offers the value that they expect and will provide a true Web 2.0 experience for them.”

The website includes many new features. Perhaps most exciting is the new RFP database, RFP LINKS, which will provide members with new, daily business leads with contracts ranging from $5,000 to $50 million. Contracts are searchable by industries and services. Governmental and private sector business opportunities are sourced from across the region – some as far as Austin and San Antonio.

RFP LINKS is a new benefit graciously underwritten by GHP Members BBVA Compass, Comcast Business Class, and Reliant Energy, with ContentActive as the development sponsor. Without them, this robust revenue-generating resource for GHP Members would not have seen the light of day.

In addition the redesigned website also includes an extensive, interactive GHP Committee directory, which should facilitate member involvement by providing meeting times, up-to-the-minute information and materials for all committees and task forces representing the broad array of issues facing today’s business community.

Members will also have access to GHP’s renowned Houston economic research, including a regular blog and breaking economic news. The site will also include event and sponsorship information.

“This website has been built with our members’ needs in mind,” said Susan Asimakis, Sr. Vice President of the Member Services Division. “They were polled as to what they wanted in a redesigned website last year, and we worked diligently to make sure that it was going to be able to meet their needs, not only in the short term, but the long term as well.”

To guarantee that members will be able to access the new features on the go, GHP’s redesigned website will also be smartphone-friendly.

“Technology is constantly advancing and we know it’s imperative that we continue to advance our own technology to guarantee the best experience for our members,” Moseley said. “GHP strives to be at the forefront of business in the Houston region and part of that is to stay on top of new technologies and what they can potentially offer our Members.”
