GPC, AREA BUILDING ASSOCIATIONS COME TOGETHER TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES IN CONSTRUCTIONS ZONE

Government Procurement Connections (GPC) today announced it will mark the addition of the all-new Construction Zone to its 2010 Exhibition Hall by signing a collaborative agreement with its supporting partners. The Construction Zone brings prime construction companies face to face with qualified potential subcontractors to discuss upcoming projects and contracting opportunities. All subcontractors have been pre-screened based on the needs of the prime and will participate in on-site interviews.

“As the premiere government contracting event of the year for small, minority, women-owned and disadvantaged businesses, GPC provides a great forum for government agencies, corporations and small businesses to discuss potential business relationships,” said J. Goodwille Pierre, GPC 2010 Co-Chair. “One of GPC 2010′s central goals is to increase minority participation in the large-scale construction projects on-tap for the region. This partnership is certain to help us meet that goal.”

Several public and private entities and construction associations will be on hand for the signing including:
Association of General Contractors (AGC)
Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC)
Women Contractors Association; City of Houston Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance
