The Greater Houston Partnership will host World Bank Group representatives for a half-day seminar to discuss opportunities for Houston area companies to bid upon multibillion-dollar trade, investment and infrastructure projects worldwide.
The World Bank Group generates billions of dollars in opportunities for suppliers of goods and services each year through projects financed in developing countries.
Houston joined The World Bank Group Private Sector Liaison Officer Network in January, 2010. GHP is the home of the PSLO for the Southwest Region, one of only three such sites in the U.S. GHP works cooperatively with local business and educational organizations including the Mayor’s Officer of International Trade and Development; the U.S. Department of Commerce U.S. Commercial Service, Houston; World Affairs Council of Houston; the University of Texas Center of Energy Economics; and Rice University.
