Bay Area Bluegrass Association known as BABA, organized 1986 and incorporated in 1987 under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act. The primary purpose of BABA is to preserve and promote Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music as an American art form. We are proud to support our community in a variety of functions, fund raisers, festivals and shows. A few of these events, teaching beginning musicians in our slow jams, furnishing bluegrass bands with a place to perform and polish their skills, support KPFT (listener-sponsored radio), The Seabrook Rotary, Crime Stoppers fund raiser, Armand Bayou Nature Center’s Fall Festival, the Fire On The Strings Festival, Bluegrass In The Park at League Park; Dickinson Parks Dept. concert series; entertainment for area nursing homes, churches, and service organizations.
