Free Bluegrass music show and jam sessions on Saturday, October 17th

Bay Area Bluegrass Association (BABA) would like to invite you to our Free Bluegrass music show and jam sessions on Saturday, October 17th, and on the 3rd Saturday of each month. (except Dec. & May) Come on down and listen to:

Also playing for your entertainment, stay for Justified for a stellar evening of bluegrass music.

The monthly show and jamming is free, and is held at the Johnny Arolfo Civic Center, 300 W. Walker, League City. The stage bands begin playing at 7:00 PM, but pickers are welcome to bring their instruments and come earlier to jam. Three jam rooms are available, including a slow jam for beginners. The BABA kitchen sells tasty, inexpensive food and beverages (NO ALCOHOL) at regular shows. We also offer bluegrass merchandise for sale, and have door prizes and raffles at every show.

Bay Area Bluegrass Association known as BABA, organized 1986 and incorporated in 1987 under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act. The primary purpose of BABA is to preserve and promote Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music as an American art form

We are proud to support our community in a variety of functions, fund raisers, festivals and shows. A few of these events, teaching beginning musicians in our slow jams, furnishing bluegrass bands with a place to perform and polish their skills, support KPFT (listener-sponsored radio), The Seabrook Rotary, Crime Stoppers fund raiser, Armand Bayou Nature Center’s Fall Festival, the Fire On The Strings Festival, Bluegrass In The Park at League Park; Dickinson Parks Dept. concert series; entertainment for area nursing homes, churches, and service organizations.
