Dreams 2 Reality: African American Heritage Celebration & Motorcycle Ride

Houston, TX – The Glass Slipper Foundation is excited to present their first annual Black History Event entitled “Dreams 2 Reality”, an African American Heritage Celebration and Motorcycle ride in partnership with Gorgeous Ladies on Wheels (GLOW). The event will celebrate the heritage, history, and progression of the African American Community.

The African American Heritage Celebration will take place at Gene Green Park, 6500 East Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston, Texas 77049 on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 12 Noon. Various artists such as the Jookbox Music Group and Paranormal Dynasty will be performing musical entertainment at the event along with inspirational dialogues from influential leaders in the community. DJ Bizzle, a step-show competition, food and family fun and will be provided at the event.

Check in for the motorcycle ride will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Bass Pro Shop, 1000 Bass Pro Drive, Houston, TX 77047. Kickstands up at 10 a.m. This event will benefit The Glass Slipper Foundation’s annual Prom Dress Shopping Day event.

All Motorcycle riders are required to register and sign a wavier form. Registration can be found online at www.theglassslipperfoundation.org. The registration fee is $20 (with a $10 fee per additional rider); pre-registration fee is $18 for riders ($8 per additional rider).
