Houston, TX – Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee applauds NASA for continuing major space exploration using high tech unmanned equipment that allows our nation to maintain our status as the world leader in space exploration. She also applauds them for ensuring the equipment was Made in America.
“This major landing using some of the most highly technological equipment ever known in space exploration and our ability to land it successfully renews America’s confidence in space exploration. President John F. Kennedy made a commitment to the American people on May 25, 1961 to land safely on the Moon. We should have that same desire and commitment to explore the universe and it boundless potential for making life better here at home. Congress must recommit to fully funding NASA thereby creating jobs and new technologies, stated Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.”
