Congressman Al Green Participates in 17th Annual MLK Parade & to Deliver Remarks Commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King’s Legacy

Congressman Al Green will honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s life and legacy by participating in the parade. This year’s theme, “Bridging the Education Divide”, is designed to inspire Houston area youth to stay in school and strive for academic success.

Congressman Green will commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy through a speech entitled “Where do we go from here?”
On the 82nd anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birth, Congressman Green wants to honor Dr. King’s unwavering commitment to peace, liberty and equality.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The service will be led by Mt. Hebron’s Pastor, Rev. Max Miller Jr. In addition to Congressman Green, who will deliver remarks, other elected officials and community leaders have been invited to attend, along with Pastor Emeritus Rev. J.J. Roberson.
