Club Begins Search To Replace HOF Broadcaster Hamilton
HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Astros will have a new radio broadcast team starting in 2013 as the club has begun its search to replace Hall of Famer Milo Hamilton, who announced that 2012 will be his final season calling games.
The Astros also announced that the contracts of radio broadcasters Brett Dolan and Dave Raymond will not be renewed. Dolan and Raymond had been calling Astros games on radio since the start of the 2006 season.
“We appreciate the work Brett and Dave have done for us over the past seven seasons, and wish them well,” said Astros President and CEO George Postolos. “We are excited to begin the search for the new radio broadcast team of the Astros, and look forward to finding a great talent to succeed Milo.”
As announced previously, Hamilton will continue to have a significant role with the club moving forward, handling special assignments including serving as an emcee at special events, taking part in caravan and Fanfest and making appearances for the club.
