ASTROS RETURN TO MINUTE MAID PARK TOMORROW

Flashback Friday, Altuve autograph signing and Bayou Bash highlight homestand

HOUSTON, TX — Tomorrow, the Houston Astros will return from their current road trip and open up an eight-game homestand with a short, two-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers from May 16-17. The Astros will then host a three-game series with the Texas Rangers (May 18-20) over the weekend, before a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs (May 21-23) next week.

Throughout the homestand, the Astros and Minute Maid Park will be hosting various special events in addition to the games, including this month’s installment of the club’s Flashback Friday promotion, Saturday’s free autograph session with Jose Altuve, the club’s fifth annual Bayou Bash, various giveaways, and University of Texas and Texas A&M nights at the ballpark.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY
The Astros will continue their season-long 50th anniversary celebration with the popular Flashback Fridays promotion presented by the Methodist Hospital System. For the second time this season, the club will wear the 1960s shooting star jersey, the first Astros jersey ever worn. As part of the festivities, former All-Star pitcher Nolan Ryan will throw out the
ceremonial first pitch. Ryan, who is currently the President & CEO of the Texas Rangers, played nine seasons for the Astros from 1980-88. During
his tenure with Houston, Ryan became Major League Baseball’s all-time career leader in no-hitters and strikeouts. Over that nine-year span, Ryan posted a 106-94 record with a 3.13 ERA and 1,866 strikeouts in his 1854.2 innings pitched. He had his No. 34 jersey retired by the club on Sept. 29, 1996.

GIVEAWAYS ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
With the intrastate series beginning on Friday, the Astros will give away a Lone Star Series T-Shirt that night, sponsored
by Champion Energy Services. The T-shirt commemorates the final interleague matchup between the two clubs
in Houston before the Astros move to the American League in 2013. The giveaway will be handed out to 10,000 fans in
attendance.

On Saturday, 10,000 fans in attendance at Minute Maid Park will receive a Nolan Ryan bobblehead, courtesy of Coca-Cola. The bobblehead celebrates Ryan’s record-setting fifth no-hitter in 1981. The bobblehead is the first of six giveaway bobbles that make up the Astros “Greatest Moments” bobblehead set.

JOSE ALTUVE AUTOGRAPH SIGNING (SATURDAY)
Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will sign autographs on Saturday at the club’s Team Store, located in the Union
Station lobby at Minute Maid Park. The autograph session, which runs from 1-2 p.m., is free to the public. Altuve, who
has positioned himself for an All-Star appearance, went into today’s game hitting .321 with two home runs and 13 RBI.
Among National League second basemen, Altuve ranked second in batting average, third in on-base percentage and
fourth in hits (42).

FIFTH ANNUAL BAYOU BASH (SATURDAY)
On Saturday, the Astros will host their fifth annual Bayou Bash presented by Budweiser in the Plaza on Crawford Street,
adjacent to Minute Maid Park’s left field entrance. This Cajun themed celebration is open to all fans with a game ticket
from 3-6:30 p.m. The event features live music, crawfish and cold beer. An all-inclusive package is available for purchase
online, which includes a game ticket, one pound of crawfish and a Bayou Bash Koozie. Visit Astros.com/bash for more
details.

UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AND TEXAS A&M NIGHTS AT THE BALLPARK
The Astros will host a University of Texas Night on Friday and a Texas A&M University Night on Saturday. Ticket packages
are available for each night, which include a game ticket and a specially designed Astros cap, featuring each university’s
colors. Fans can visit Astros.com/UT and Astros.com/TAMU to purchase these ticket packages.

On Friday, the Astros have invited former University of Texas star softball pitcher Cat Osterman to throw a ceremonial
first pitch. Osterman will sign autographs from 6-6:30 p.m. on the main concourse behind home plate.
