Teachers submitted essays about their classrooms’ environmental efforts as part of the Greenest Classroom contest sponsored by Devon Energy. Ms. Warren’s class at Landrum Middle School in the Spring Branch ISD was chosen for her students’ recycling projects. The class has funded some of their field trips from the money they earned through recycling.
The visit is part of the Astros Play Green® in Education school initiative, designed to teach students at an early age about the environment, conservation and building a lifetime of responsible actions that make a positive difference.
