Elected officials including State Senator Rodney Ellis and State Representative Senfronia Thompson, Yates alumni and parents will join to show their support for the HISD Bond Proposition, which includes replacement of Yates.

This bond proposal will rebuild, renovate or repair 28 high schools, build three new elementary school campuses, convert five elementary schools into K-8 campuses and replace or complete two new middle school campuses. In addition, all HISD students will benefit from funds earmarked for technology improvements in schools, replacing regional field houses and improving athletic facilities and for district-wide safety and security improvements, along with renovating middle school bathrooms.
