Diamond and Pearls Mother’s Day Award Gala is an inter-faith, non-political event that continues to recognize the invaluable contribution mothers make to the future success and happiness of children and society. To advance the mission, each year Diamond and Pearls donates a portion of the proceeds to a worthy community organization. This year, Diamond and Pearls has partnered with Gracewood.
Gracewood assists single-parent mothers and their children through residential group care, mentoring, financial planning, teaching, counseling and referral to valuable community resources. Since its inception, the organization has helped many Houston families with their transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. The organization truly filled a void in this community by being committed to change – both for the individuals and for the community. Through its “family-model” housing, women and their children have a safe place to heal, recover, and grow. http://www.childrenatheartministries.org
