Corporate executives, business owners, and members of Houston’s corporate community will gather to honor Houston’s Tech Giants at the Texas Black Expo Corporate Breakfast on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Hilton Americas Hotel. Serving as Chairperson for this 3rd annual event will be Larry V. Green, Houston City Council Member. Council Member Green has been an avid supporter of the Texas Black Expo for several years and also serves as key member of the organization’s board of directors.
Elected into office in January 2012, Council Member Larry V. Green is the Council Member to the newly formed District known as “K”. District K serves from the edge of the Texas Medical Center to the portion of Houston within Fort Bend County. The District also includes the Reliant/ Astrodome Complex, two management districts, and two school districts-Houston ISD and Fort Bend ISD.

The Texas Black Expo Corporate Breakfast, held as part of the 10th annual Summer Celebration Weekend, will be held on Friday, June 21st at the Hilton Americas Hotel. Registration for the ticketed event will begin at 7:30 AM and the breakfast will begin at 8 AM. The event will honor Beth Tracy, Manager of Corporate Affairs of IBM as the “Tech Giant”, Charles Thompson, Chief Technology Officer of the City of Houston as the “Tech Advocate”, and Jamal Thompson, CEO of Velocity Unified Communication as “Tech-Preneur”. The Texas Black Expo Juneteenth Summer Celebration will be held June 21 – 23, 2013 at the George R. Brown Convention Center (Hall A). The event provides an opportunity for business owners on all levels to network and display their goods and services to a diverse audience. Further, the Texas Black Expo will offer FREE Expo admission to all guests at the Expo tradeshow and thus anticipates more than 15,000 attendees throughout the course of the weekend.
