The City of Houston Emergency Operations Center has Deactivated

HOUSTON – The City of Houston Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at the Houston Emergency Center (5320 N Shepherd Drive) was deactivated at 4:30pm.

The EOC had been partially activated and staffed with personnel from the Office of Emergency Managmeent (OEM), Houston Fire Department (HFD), Houston Police Department (HPD) and Public Works & Engineering Department (PWE) since 10:00pm Tuesday evening in anticipation of severe weather conditions affecting the City.

The EOC serves as the primary coordinating facility during times of emergency, and is activated to assist responding agencies with information, coordination and resources.
