Holiday Travel & New Art Work Land at Houston’s Airports

Holiday Travel is in full swing at both George Bush Intercontinental and William P. Hobby Airports. More than 1.9 million travelers are expected to pass through Bush and 493,000 through Hobby from Sunday, December 16, 2012 through Friday, January 4, 2013.

The busiest day at Bush will be Friday, December 21 with nearly 111,000 passengers traveling. For Hobby, nearly 30,000 passengers will travel on Saturday, December 22. Our “cool tool” for checkpoint wait times is active on our website, and travel tips for passengers can be found at

Passengers will also notice 10 new art pieces installed in the lobby of Hobby by artists Karin Broker, Jeff Forster, Mary Helene Gagneux, Dixie Friend Gay, Jonathan Leach, Katrina Moorhead, Howard Sherman, Damon Thomas and Randy Twaddle.
