The Nigerian American Multicultural Center (“NAMC”) in community partnership with the Houston West Chamber of Commerce (“HWCOC”), HEB, International Management District and numerous supporters are very pleased to announce the first-ever Festival of African, Arts, Culture & Entertainment (F.A.A.C.E)! The inaugural celebration for F.A.A.C.E will be held on the fairgrounds of NAMC’s future Nigerian Cultural Center (14714 Lindita Drive, Houston, Texas 77083) on Saturday, October 20th, 2012.(10am – 5pm)

The high-energy, colorful celebration aims to demonstrate the many fabrics of the African culture through family-friendly activities, including children’s arts & crafts activity area, games, live performances, artistic & cultural displays, vendor and gift station, home-style foods & delicacies, contests and live giveaways! Patrons are encouraged to come with the anticipation to have lots of fun, connect with members of the community and have their senses heighten by all of the great surprises in store!

It is our greatest hope that through F.A.A.C.E, we can begin a new tradition in the Houston community that welcomes people from all walks of life to come explore and learn more about what makes African culture and its diaspora so meaningful and special. Guest and patrons of the festival will interact with local communities, volunteers and organizations in a unified effort to help raise $2 million towards the cultural center’s building project.

Tickets for the festival are $5.00 for Adults and free entry will be permitted to all children ages 12 years & under. To purchase your festival tickets in advance, please contact NAMC’s Administrative Offices at 713-586-9450 or visit our web site at
