Enjoy the excitement of this year’s Houston Librofest, a festival celebrating Latino literature and culture in the Bayou City on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 11AM – 4PM at the Houston Public Library’s Central Library Plaza, 500 McKinney St., 77002. Houston Librofest is a book and arts festival for the entire family. The festival will highlight Hispanic writers and showcase the vibrant culture, music and art of the city’s Latino community.
There will be storytelling, writing workshops, book giveaways, crafts, performances by local folkloric dancers and musicians, exhibits by Houston arts organizations, and much more. Houston Librofest will also feature a lineup of acclaimed poets and writers that include: Gwendolyn Zepeda, Claudia Kolker, Javier O. Huerta, and Sarah Cortez. The events are free and open to the public.
