Houston, TX,– All Pro Sports Training Academy and the Ken Hamlin Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual “Kid’s Community Day and Back to School Give-A-Way on Saturday, August 18th, 2012 at Buress Elementary School 701 E. 33rd Street Houston 77022.
History: In 2009, the All Pro Sports Training Academy was formed as a nonprofit 501c3 organization to give back to the community and to showcase the positive reinforcement that athletics can give a youth. We are determined to continue to reach our youth and show them that hard work DOES payoff. Because APSTA understands the struggles of our at risk and inner city youth we are 100% committed to empowering and developing activities for youth from underserved communities thru our various partnerships with the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, Neighborhood Centers, Mayor’s Anti-Gang Unit and more. Realistically, we want to convey to all youth and their families that no matter what their circumstances are, if you work hard, you can achieve your goals and succeed. APSTA seeks to encourage today’s youth to reach their full potential in both athletic and academic pursuits.
Mission: Our mission at the All Pro Sports Training Academy (APSTA) is to increase the quality of life for communities that are in impoverished and in distress.
Vision: We envision a Wellness Center that will build an atmosphere of professional sports mentoring to youth, needed health care and human services for poverty individuals that will exceed the expectations of a Medically Under-served Area (“MUA”).
The community day consists of professional athletes, school supply give a ways, area nonprofits, food, immunizations, elected officials and much, much more!
