Career and Recovery Resources to Honor Community Leaders, Star Clients at 16th Annual Barrier Breaker Luncheon

Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. (CRR), a non-profit United Way agency that helps persons identify and overcome barriers to employment, will honor De and Jeffery Rose for their outstanding community leadership at the 16th annual Barrier Breaker Award Luncheon. During the event, several of Career and Recovery Resources’ Star Clients who, with services provided by the agency, have overcome serious barriers to secure employment and achieve success, will also share their personal stories.

The Barrier Breaker Luncheon, hosted by CRR, is held annually to laud inspirational local leaders who volunteer their time to better the Houston community and help others overcome barriers to success. Luncheon and silent auction proceeds benefit the agency’s specialized training and employment programs designed to help job seekers who often have multiple barriers to employment. Services include career counseling, job search preparation, intensive case management for job placement and retention, computer classes, and substance abuse treatment, prevention and education.
