Keep Houston Beautiful Continues Beautification and Cleanup Projects

Keep Houston Beautiful coordinates with two organizations on projects Saturday, April 21.

Comcast, as part of its Comcast Cares project, will plant, stake and mulch 80 trees in the northwest Acres Homes community. The project will begin at 900 Ferguson Way and continue for several blocks as trees are planted in the median on that street. Last year, the drainage ditch in that median was cleaned and irises were planted there. They will begin at 8 a.m. and work through the morning.

On-site contact there will be Keep Houston Beautiful Executive Director Robin Blut, 713-805-1201.

Members of the South Houston Concerned Citizens Coalition will conduct a cleanup of Townwood Park Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Townwood Park is located at 3403 Sims Brook Drive. Contact for that project is Linda Scurlock, 713-433-5737.
