HOUSTON- The 9th annual Texas Black Expo is rapidly approaching, and communities around the state are preparing to converge on the city of Houston for the Juneteenth Summer Celebration, the largest celebration of the annual holiday in the state of Texas. With the new strategic partnerships Texas Black Expo has formed with the Texas Legislative Black Caucus and the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, attendees can anticipate a number of crowd-pleasing changes, one of which will be the Texas Black Expo Old School Hip-Hop and R&B Outdoor Concert.
This event will take place at Discovery Green Park on Friday, June 15th to kick off the Texas Black Expo Juneteenth Summer Celebration, the largest urban festival and African-American tradeshow in the state of Texas. The concert line-up will feature several platinum-selling musical artists representing the 80′s and early 90′s. Best of all, this event will be FREE with the purchase of a ticket to the weekend’s Black Expo tradeshow ($10) held at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
