Camp Logan Exhibit At the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum
“This is where the story begins…In the shadows of the camp’s construction, the ugliness of Jim Crow segregation was making itself known. A riot between Houston Police Department, Houston citizens and Buffalo Soldiers of the 24th Negro Infantry Regiment broke out on the night of August 23, 1917.”
This year’s Camp Logan Exhibit includes artifacts from Camp Logan on loan from local historian, Robert Marin.
