We are pleased to announce that Harris County Judge Ed Emmett will be our speaker for US Gulf International Commerce Club. Judge Emmett will summarize the events and lessons from the 2nd Annual Harris County Trade & Transportation Conference, and will give us his assessment of the future of Transportation in Harris County.
Edward M. Emmett was unanimously appointed County Judge by Harris County Commissioners Court on March 6, 2007. A member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1979 to 1987, Emmett served East Harris County, from Kingwood to Baytown. He was chairman of the Committee on Energy, a member of the Transportation Committee, and represented the state on numerous national committees relating to energy and transportation policy. Judge Emmett served as a commissioner to the United States Interstate Commerce Commission from 1989‐1992, and prior to that, founded the Emmett Company, a consulting and marketing firm for the transportation and logistics industries.
As a networking and educational event for transportation professionals, the US Gulf International Commerce Club prides itself on addressing issues that are of timely concern to industry leaders.
