Today, Congressman Al Green (TX-09) endorsed Jolanda “Jo” Jones in her campaign for re-election to the Houston City Council, At-Large Position 5.
“The citizens of Houston have benefited greatly from the leadership of Jolanda “Jo” Jones on Houston City Council,” said Congressman Green. “I urge Houston voters to allow her to continue her work on City Council.”

Congressman Green, a veteran civil rights advocate who has dedicated his life to fighting for those in society whose voices are too often not heard, also praised Jones for her dedication to improving the lives of all Houstonians by creating jobs, increasing affordable housing and protecting human rights for all.
