UH Alcohol Prevention Program Earns National Honors

Too often, college students learn the hard way that reckless drinking has disastrous results on their grades and their health. Thanks to an award-winning alcohol prevention program at the University of Houston, more students are embracing self-protective behaviors and either abstaining from alcohol or drinking responsibly.

Recently, UH was among the institutions that received the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors and National Prevention Network’s 2009 National Exemplary Award for Innovative Substance Abuse Prevention Programs, Practices, and Policies.
