Gardening, Games Among Green UH Day Events Nov. 5

A famous frog once said, “It’s not easy being green.” The University of Houston is proving him wrong today from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at UH’s University Center and Lynn Eusan Park (Entrance 1 off of Calhoun Road).

Green UH Day will present a host of exhibits, events and games showing that it IS easy being green.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Power Plant: Education on Energy Saving Programs

11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Recycling Games

1 – 2:30 p.m., Weather Balloon Launch

1 – 2:30 p.m., UH Department of Public Safety’s Green Efforts and Crime Prevention

1 – 3 p.m., Sustainability Journey Series

1:30 – 3 p.m., Environmental Club Gardening Activities

2 – 2:30 p.m., Office Supply Swap-a-Thon

2 – 4 p.m., Water U Drinking? – Exhibition of filtered vs. tap water.

2 – 4 p.m., Green Commuting Fair

3 – 4 p.m., Green Computing Exhibition
