Houston (August 11, 2009) – The 2009 International Financial and Leadership Summit featuring the world renowned Dr. Myles Munroe from the Nassau, Bahamas as the principal speaker will be held all day on August 27th. The theme for the Summit is “Leaders Connecting Communities and Cultures”. The chairperson of the Summit is founder and CEO of TWEF, Dr. Deavra Daughtry of Excellent Care Management. The honorary co-chairs of the 2009 International Financial and Leadership Summit are Glen Gondo of GondoCo Inc. and Laurie Vignaud of Capital One Bank.

The 2009 International Financial and Leadership Summit is open to the public, starting at 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with the Empowerment Luncheon and Financial Workshops presented by Capital One Bank and Wealth Development Strategies. The Workshop and Luncheon will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank, 1801 Allen Pkwy, Houston, Texas 77019. The workshops and luncheon are sure to bring together the top leaders in the city for a time of networking and leadership impartation. There will be a special Q & A Session after each session with Dr. Myles Munroe.

The 2009 International Financial and Leadership Summit will culminate with the International Leadership Awards Gala and will be held at The Houston Club, 811 Rusk, Houston, Texas 77002 at 6:00 p.m., featuring Dr. Myles Munroe. The Mistress of Ceremony for the evening is Deborah Duncan host of Great Day Houston. The entertainment will be provided by vocalist extraordinaire Barbara Tucker and Texas Southern University Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Professor Howard Harris.

About Dr. Myles Munroe

Dr. Myles Munroe is a multi-gifted international speaker, best-selling author and government and business consultant, who address critical issues that affect every aspect of human, social and spiritual development. In 1998, Dr. Myles Munroe became the youngest Bahamian honoree to receive the Officer of the British Empire (OBE) Award, which was bestowed by the Queen of England. He is also the recipient of the Silver Jubilee (SJA) Award, one of the highest awards of the Government of The Bahamas, for his contributions to the growth and strength of The Bahamas.

In December 2004, Dr. Myles Munroe responded to a special invitation to speak at a Jerusalem Summit, where he was the only representative from the Caribbean nations. His captivating message on the topic of “Developing Alternative Methods To Open Closed Societies” led to other opportunities for him to speak among a select few international Ambassadors.

Dr. Myles Munroe is the Executive Producer and principal host of numerous television and radio programs in the Caribbean region. He is the principal host of weekly television and radio programs in the U.S.A., Africa and with the advent of Global Media via the Internet he is seen and heard in over one hundred nations daily.
